Staveley House is ideally located in North Wales, situated just 10 minutes stroll from the beach of Rhos on Sea, plus is within easy reach of Colwyn Bay and Llandudno town and many of the other attractions in the area, or even further afield.

BRYN EURYN NATURE RESERVE

Situated at the rear of the property. Turn left at the front gate, left at the lights, walk to the top of the road. Cross over and Bryn Euryn is in front of you. There are lovely walks and views. Walking boots or strong shoes would be beneficial.

LLANDRILLO YN RHOS CHURCH

(the smallest church in Wales) If you go down Rhos road and turn left at the bottom. Cross over the road towards Wyncles cafe, pass the cafe and take steps down onto the lower walkway. Continue along and the church is on your left hand side. You can go inside most of the time but there is a service every Friday at 8am.

CONWAY BIRD SANCTUARY

By car, turn right outside the house and head towards the round about. Go straight ahead to the traffic lights. Go through the lights to the next roundabout. Turn right and go past the car show rooms on your right. llandudnoTake the right turn at the lights onto the A55. Continue along and take the Conwy turn approx. three quarters of a mile. Turn left at the top of the slip road and left again into the car park. Interesting for the whole family.

THE MOUNTAIN ZOO

Follow the instructions as for the bird sanctuary until you get to the second roundabout. Turn left at the roundabout and then turn right before the lights. This is one way, take the right hand lane and go straight ahead at the crossroads. You will see signs to the zoo. It is very hilly but worth the visit. Lovely views and if you follow the program given to you on payment, you will enjoy the animals. Go for the day, take a packed lunch or you can get food from the café.

EIRIAS PARK

Ideal for walks, bowling, swimming, tennis and relaxing. Go down Rhos road and turn right at the bottom. Go along the promenade towards the pier. Go past the pier and take the next right turn which will take you under an archway and up to the car park.

COLWYN BAY CRICKET CLUB

If you would like to watch the cricket  then go down Rhos road and turn left at the bottom and next left. Follow the road for about 200 mtrs, the club is on your left hand side.

Conwy Castle

Magnificent Conwy Castle, is without doubt one of the most impressive of Welsh castles.

Conway Castle stands in a strategic position perched on a rock and dominates the Conwy estuary, it makes a great trip out from Staveley House and the town of Conwy offers some excellent shopping facilities.
